Things have changed a lot for the Hiding Place. Our biggest change is that we are really trying to equip parents and help families. In this regard, we are working directly with parents as youth workers, setting up resources for parents of teens, and planning family events. We are also working on parenting seminars and other resources.
What is the best way someone could help you as you raise teens? If you could have one aid from someone else, what would it be? Please start sharing as we walk this road together!

BURN, Oct 1-2
Friday through Saturday, Oct 1-2, will be the next BURN for the Hiding Place youth. There will be other youth groups attending, and this is a camping trip! Please note: ALL PARENTS ARE INVITED! We ask that families consider attending together. The BURN will begin Friday night at 5 PM - so show up whenever you can and set up your tent or camper. At 5 PM on Saturday, Rappin Granny will perform, followed by youth drama teams - to include our own! So, come on out for as much of this as you can stay for. We are looking forward to an incredible weekend!

Pool party on Saturday
Please remember that this is a FAMILY event! The entire family is invited to join us from 4-9:45 PM at the Willigar home. Hot dogs and drinks are provided. If you have not signed up yet for the food that is needed, please contact Gami or Cathi. RSVP today so we can ensure that we have enough food to feed everyone please.
Also, this is our 6th grader welcome party - so please encourage families with new 6th graders to come along! Again, this is a FAMILY event - parents and siblings are invited to come along. We just need to know if you are coming, so we can plan accordingly.
Thank you!

Psalm 107:20
Today I have a challenge for you. Read this verse - Ps. 107:20. I would like to share some insight with you. Did you read the verse yet? Once you have read it, here is the application. You MUST read, study, know, and memorize God's Word! It is the ONLY thing that can heal people and deliver them. Do you know someone who is hurting? Share God's Word with them! Do you know someone who is not a Christian? Share God's Word with them! It has the power to set them free, and to heal their wounds. God's Word is the most powerful weapon we have, especially when it is coupled with prayer. So pray for those who you know are hurting and need God. Pray over them as you read your Bible. God will give you words to share with them. When you are obedient to this, His Word will be used to bring these people healing, and to draw them to God!

30 hour famine update
Here is a link to a website that will show you just what our funds that we raised are doing for Haiti. We raised approximately $1,000 for Haiti, and we are making an impact! Check out the link to read more about what our fundraiser did when we partnered with others.
